This is the first step that requires you to use cleansing milk found easily in the market or else you can simply use some raw milk. To do this step, wet your face with some water and use either your fingers or a cotton pad to gently rub away the dirt off your face.
After cleansing, wash your face and pat it dry using a face towel or tissue. Your face needs to be clean for the steaming process. You can either heat water and add to a bowl or simply use a face steamer if you have it. Add a few drops of essential oils of your choice to the hot water for relaxation and cover your face for 5 to 10 minutes.
Post steaming, your facial pores get open and become soft. So you can use any DIY scrub or ready-to-use face scrub for exfoliating.
While exfoliating, make sure you are gentle on your skin and use circular motions. Don’t exfoliate on dry skin and if needed use some more water to scrub so that your skin does not feel rough. Wash it off after a minute or use a face towel to remove any product before the final rinse.
Depending on the skin type, you can use different toners on a clean face post-exfoliating. Simply spray some toner on your face or soak some of the product into a cotton pad to apply. Let your face rest for 30 seconds after applying toner.
After toning, use a face pack or sheet mask to hydrate your face and give it that much-needed rest. Let it sit on your face for 15-20 minutes and wash it off as per the directions. In case of sheet mask, simply use your fingers to massage the product in the end and let your face rest for a minute.
This is the ultimate step that you shouldn’t skip! After all these steps, your face is in need of moisture so a good moisturiser will lock in the hydration to keep your skin supple and plump.
